Architects Department, Clwyd Health Authority

I spent a month in this department during the fourth-year of my secondary education. Since the unification of the Welsh Counties this is now part of Flintshire County Council. While I was in this department I gained my first experience of CAD. Much of my time was spent using AutoCAD AEC with a tablet, although I also drafted by hand. My main project during this time was to produce a building map for the new nurse training facility. The plan of the site was redrawn excluding construction details, the individual rooms labelled and colour-coded with the use of Letra-paper. To the best of my knowledge, the A0 framed map is still on display in the foyer.
