Space Station Landscape

This image was created using Bryce 2 with minor adjustments carried out in Adobe PhotoShop 4. The water is an infinite water plane with a very still, reflective material applied. Low level fog is also applied to improve the realism of the still water.

A number of terrain’s were used to create the landmass and a standard Bryce material was applied to these. The buildings and chimneys are simple primitives with complex material maps applied to them. The distant plants/moons are also simple spherical primitives with cloud materials applied which gives the impression of great distance. The smoking chimney was created using a similar method. Two spheres were stretched in only one axis and semi-opaque materials applied to them both. By positioning one inside the other, the effect was complete.
